Description
In the center of the composition is Christ, seated on a throne, holding in his hand an open book. Painted to his right and left, are the figures of the Holy Mother of God and of Saint John the Baptist. The icon is enclosed in a frame.
Iconographical technique: Tempera
The technique of the painting is an egg distemper. The painting is airy, evenly laid and rich in colour. The tonality is intense and bright.
The gilding is on bole with gold-leaf, polished.

The icon's base is a two-piece oak panel.
