The icon was probably produced by the author of the contemporary murals in the same church.

Description

A traditional waist-deep depiction of Christ Pantocrator. The graphic area is enclosed in a frame, carved and gilt, profiled in a complex manner. The halo is also decorated by a plastic ornament. The decorative expressiveness of the image is enforced by a rhythmic gilding of the folds of the garment.
