The work is of the same festive cycle as the icon "The Assumption of the Virgin". It was probably made by the same master.
Description
A traditional, well-organised festive scene. A balanced rhythm has been achieved through the shapes of the angels bearing the disc with the ascending Christ, the outlines of the trees and the decorative colouring of the individual elements.
