Description
A late naivety style. The figure of St. Minas on a white horce is placed in the centre of the icon. Ten scenes of the life os st. Minas are placed on the left, right and lower part of the icon.
Iconographical technique: Tempera
The guilding is applied on top with a polyment using sheet gold. The lacquering is thin and uniform.
Base material: Wood
Three beech boards connected with fit and fasten with keys.
State, restoration traces and comments
Much of the wooden base has been eaten through by timber-worms. The layer of painting is damaged in some places.
