This icon is a work of art related to the professional trend familiar by the Nessebur production and is a perfect example of Orthodox art heritage from the Byzantine and post-Byzantine period.
Description
St. George is a waist-length full-face depiction. He wears a dark-blue chemise, golden ornamented armor and a red cloak. He holds a spear in his right hand and a sword in his left hand; a blue-gray shield with a golden edge can be seen on his side.
