The icon is from the royal tier of an icon screen. Presented to the collections of the National History Museum.
Description
The rectangular pictorial field is framed by an ellipse, which is edged by a golden line. The corners that it encircles present rich decoration with baroque ornaments. The background is blue for the sky in the upper part and green for the earth in the lower. In one of the ends conditional architecture suggests the city of Salonika, the native place of the saint.
