Object identification notes
A gallery of individualized personages has been modelled with patience and craftsmanship. What they have in common is that their heads are 12 to 15 millimetres large. The name of each personage is written above him. This extremely difficult manner illustrates the artist's skill and attention in embossing.
Description
The central compositions Crucifixion and Resurrection are bas-relief against the backdrop of floral motifs and lack perspective. The Annunciation and The Exaltation of the Venerable Cross are one above the other on the back cover. The compositions include groups of figures in the conventional iconography pattern together with the architecture and household chores in an appropriate setting. The artist's horizon is high above the figures that are one above the other in the scenes. The human figures that are as tall as the houses and the flowers are as big as their heads.
Iconographical technique: Relief

Silver with gilt.
