The icon is enclosed in a double frame, without gilding. The icon is an example of a late naivity.

Description

In the center of the icon is the figure of Saint George mounted on a white horse. Flying from his shoulders is a red mantle. With his both hands he is holding a spear, with which he is stabbing the dragon lying under him.

Iconographical technique: Tempera

The varnish cover is applied evenly.

Base material: Wood

The base is a one-piece panel, without beams. The ground coat is of plaster, laid thinly.
