Object identification notes

The style of the entire ornamentation contains baroque elements which will dominate in 19th-century iconography. The doors and several icons have been transferred from another place and fitted to the iconostasis in the paraclete.

On the strongly profiled face side of the doors, decorated with gilded carving, six planes of images are allocated: the semifigures of the prophets David and Solomon at the very top, the Annunciation (Archangel Gabriel and Mary) on the middle two panels, and four standing figures of the church fathers at the bottom.

Iconographical technique: Carving
